As a novelist my published work includes the young-adult collection "Nits de guàrdia" (Night Shifts) in Catalan, Spanish and Polish, under the pen name of Paula Roc.
I have also published "Surt el sol i encara plou" (The Sun Comes Up and It's Still Raining) my first four-hand novel. As scriptwriting is a work often shared with other writers, I wanted to bring the same experience to the literary world. So we wrote this book together with the Majorcan Pau Estrany.

LA MENTE NARRADORA
(The storytelling mind, the neuroscience applied to the writing screenplays art)
The essay delves into the relationships between mind and cinematic writing, through a neuroscientific perspective, particularly focused on cognitive psychology and narratology. Starting from a selection of films from filmmakers belonging to the late twentieth and early twentieth century from the American Indie Cinematography Market (Tarantino, Jonze, Lynch, Linklater, Gonzalez Iñárritu, Nolan ...), and researching into the subversive construction of its stories, we will discover new devices of cinematographic writing, which are performed to attract the audience at the same level as classic screenwriting does.
On a journey through these films and into the human mind, the book not only focuses on the basic elements that a film script uses to connect with its audience, but also deals with the question of how classic cinema’s essential narrative characteristics have survived under these films of non-classical narrative appearance. We would discover how, after all, that classic screenwriting narrative is just a perfect summary of the way we humans —as exceptional storytelling animals that we are— feel and understand the world surrounding us.

SURT EL SOL I ENCARA PLOU(The Sun Comes Up and It's Still Raining)
Nora has just broken up with Guillem and is living alone for the first time in the old apartment in Gràcia that she shared with Biel, Pedro and Aina when they were just starting out on their own, ten years earlier.
One morning, in addition to her usual sadness she has a hangover and a headache brought out by sleeping beside Biel, her Majorcan ex-roommate. Biel isn’t hungover, but he does have a few headaches: he wants to move back to Barcelona because he’s tired of the dampness of Scotland, and he doesn’t understand women, particularly Nora, his ex-roommate from Barcelona,
"Surt el sol i encara plou" is a story of friendship, love and the feelings in between.

"MEN IN BLACK" - Children's books -
Elba has recently moved to the big city with her parents. She does not like her new home; it's too far away from the mountain to go cycling and too far away from downtown to go to school by foot on her own.
In this building, located in no man's land, she begins to see, every night and every dawn, a group of strange men climbing the stairs. Would they live in the apartment above? All of them are dressed in black, with long dark coats, wear a hat, sun glasses and they always walk in a row, as if they would be afraid to get lost.
Elba starts to investigate who actually are that men. But she won't be alone: with the help of Canyiula, her new friend and neighbour, who hates football but who is very keen on dancing funky, they will meet Carbassot, another neighbour, an old well-travelled man, who will help them in their investigation above the "men in black": might they come from a parallel reality?
