Cinema or television? Books or movies? It’s hard to choose when what you like is, simply, telling stories!
I was born in Barcelona and, from a very young age, I was fascinated by being told stories: stories before going to bed; or the tales that were read to me and I learned by heart, or films that I could watch again up to twenty times…
As I grew older, I was no longer only fascinated by the stories I found in books and movies, but also by the stories told to me by people I knew. The little things that people experience are as fascinating as or more so than what you can find in books. And my passion for traveling helped me a lot to never stop learning, listening and imagining!
This led me to think that I also wanted to write my own stories and I ended up studying Audiovisual Communication. However, I never forgot what had motivated me from the beginning: books. I wrote my own novels and, at the same time, I began working in the world of cinema. I started as a script analyst and editor, and shortly after I started working at the Audiovisual Development Center, ending up as head of the Content area. Stories and more stories led me to work on my own and to eventually see some of my stories on television and the big screen or even published in books.
Right now, I continue to listen, travel, read and write: books and scripts, for film and television, for adult and youth audiences. At the same time, I am lucky to be able to teach at the University what I am passionate about: the art of writing and capturing both readers and viewers with a good story.
